provision of services.Primary Purpose:The Sr. Budget Analyst
overseas CWS Global spending to ensure that funds are allocated
appropriately and used according to plan. He/She creates, analyzes,
and executes financial plans and forecasts that supports
organizational directions. This includes providing program,
business development, and other leadership advice, understanding
and counsel in line with organizational, grant, and legal
standards. The incumbent will collaborate with leadership to build
better operational plans and understand key drivers to maximize
productivity, revenue, and expenses. The position reports to the
Budget Director.Essential Duties:Develop agency and organizational
budgets with managersMonitor spending and keep the organization
within its set budgetMaintain a standard of cash flow forecast and
year-end financial forecastCreate budget for administrative
departments and indirect costs allocation rate.Vet funding requests
for merit and authenticity.Provide financial guidance that drives
better program and mission decisions.Prepare, document, and present
annual expense plans and forecasts to multiple levels of
leadership.Analyze business and other operations, trends, and
initiatives to support expense forecast.Review budget proposals and
funding requests.Conduct cost/benefit and other types of
analyses.Estimate standards costs for use for program and business
development in funding proposals.Submit budget recommendations for
review and approval.Explain budget recommendations and input to
management and program leadership.Collaborate with managers to
develop organizational, department, and grant budgets.Manage the
budget and forecasting cycle with staff and funders.Communicate
with funders, leadership, and staff.Review expenditures and
identify trends in spending.Demonstrate success through performance
metrics for financial goals and impact.Prepare reports, distribute,
and discussion budget reports on a regular and periodic
basis.Simplify finance to make comprehension easier and help
leadership to make quicker and better decisions.Perform other
duties as directed by the Budget Director and/or
CFO.Qualifications:College degree in accounting, finance, business,
or related field or equivalent experience.Seven-plus years of
experience in financial analysis, planning and/or
modeling.Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting
methods.Understanding of budgeting and regulatory
requirements.Excellent mathematical ability and an analytical
mind.Be able to clearly articulate points of view and provide
compelling rationale.Execute against deadline with accuracy and a
high degree of quality.Proficient in Office 365, spreadsheets, data
base, and email; knowledge of graphic software is a
plus.Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.Attention
to detail.Innovative with a focus on efficiency and
automationProfessional presence and easily interacts with senior
leaders and funders.Ability to work under pressure, keep all work
current and accurate, and respond to identified department
deadlines with sense of urgencyExperience in non a non-profit
environment, including knowledge of foundation and government
grants.Knowledge of GAAP, OMB Uniform GuidanceCWS U.S. COVID-19
