    Overview of the Cost Accountant role:
    
    • 
      
    • Responsible for annual standard cost role based on material, labor, and overhead budgets including recommendations for labor and overhead cost allocation rates.
      
    • Run exception reports and investigate; post inventory report weekly
      
    • Complete bank reconciliations in general ledger
      
    • Manage fixed assets: record depreciation, post to general ledger, prepare all reconciliations and journal entries related to fixed assets
      
    • Support external and internal audits
      
      Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:
      
      • 
        
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
        
      • Minimum three years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
        
      • Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on tasks and projects
        
      • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with a major ERP system
