Job Description:
General Accountant Location: Northbrook, IL (In-Office) Salary:
$85,000-$95,000 Discretionary Bonus Our client, a leading company
in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a General Accountant to
join their team in Northbrook, IL. This role requires a strong
foundation in accounting principles, with a focus on Accounts
Payable (AP) processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial
role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting
business initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and
timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. Prepare and
review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial
statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and
annual financial reports. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) processes
and systems. Support the annual audit process and liaise with
external auditors. Monitor internal controls to safeguard company
assets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide
financial insights. Assist in the development and implementation of
accounting policies and procedures. Participate in special projects
and ad-hoc analyses as required. Cross-train and serve as a backup
to other team members as needed. Aid in the development and
implementation of a centralized accounting function to streamline
processes and improve efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
in Accounting. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
familiarity with ODOO ERP is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP
and technical accounting principles. Excellent analytical,
problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work
independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong
communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and
