Job Description Job Description Description: Position Overview We are seeking an energetic and mechanically skilled Maintenance Technician to join our spice processing facility team. This hands-on role involves maintaining equipment, ensuring smooth plant operations, and supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on spice processing equipment • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions • Support production operations as needed • Maintain clean and safe working conditions • Follow all safety protocols and procedures • Document maintenance activities and equipment status Requirements: Preferred Qualifications • Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience • Basic understanding of food processing equipment and eager to learn about new equipment • High school diploma or equivalent • Someone who wants long-term employment Technical Skills • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude - ability to work with tools, understand basic machinery, and perform equipment repairs • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Experience with hand tools and basic maintenance equipment preferred Language Requirements • Basic English proficiency - ability to read safety instructions, work orders, and communicate with supervisors • Verbal communication skills sufficient for workplace safety and coordination Physical Requirements • Ability to lift 55 pounds regularly • Active, energetic individual who can work in a physically demanding environment • Comfortable working in environments with strong spice aromas and odors • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods • Able to wear PPE as required Work Environment • This position is based in a spice processing facility with exposure to various spice aromas, dust, and processing equipment. • The environment requires wearing appropriate PPE and following strict food safety guidelines.
