We measure success by how we touch the lives of people inside and outside our four walls. Thanks for all who have joined us on this journey and have taken an active leadership role in making LCI a better place. We are going to play a role in the way the world thinks about work culture and as a result we feel we can help change the world for the better. Every year, LCI and its employees dedicate their time, talents, and resources to a wide variety of registered charities throughout the communities we live and work in. Recognizing that as we continue to grow as a company and as our employees continue to dedicate themselves to the betterment of our communities, it has become both necessary and prudent that we establish a liaison through which we can best organize and utilize our charitable resources and efforts. It was with that notion in mind that LCI Cares came to be founded. Acting as a platform through which LCI and its employees can most effectively spread their goodwill, LCI Cares is dedicated to investing in the communities, and into those organizations within our communities, that LCI and/or LCI employees have developed a personal and passionate advocacy for. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the communities we serve, not just through good business, but also through charitable giving and volunteer work. LCI has given more than $1 million to the Boys and Girls Club and also supports other nonprofit organizations, including CAPS, Junior League, The Crossing, 5 Star and Kali's Cure. We encourage our team members to volunteer to support healthy and safe communities. From donating food to the hungry to responding to natural disasters, we encourage team members to choose activities that match their interests. Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI) has embarked on a company-wide social responsibility initiative to complete 100,000 hours of community service during 2017. With more than 8,000 employees and 48 facilities, LCI's community outreach initiative aims to give back to the communities from which their employees live, work and play. LCI will partner with local nonprofits, school systems and community leaders to drive community involvement and reinforce LCI's culture of caring and collaboration. Through this collective effort, LCI hopes to not only inspire its employees, but also hopes their initiative will encourage and inspire others within the community to increase their social responsibility efforts.
