Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Class A CDL Equipment Operator for Emergency Response to join our expert team in effectively handling environmental emergencies. This role is critical in operating specialized equipment during events such as hazardous material spills and other urgent environmental crises. Operate heavy cleanup equipment during emergency spill responses and other environmental crises. Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Coordinate with emergency management teams to assess situations and manage on-site equipment. Maintain equipment to ensure it's in good working order, report any malfunctions, and ensure efficient operations. Document actions and findings during emergency operations for regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in practices. Proficient in the operation of heavy machinery and equipment specific to environmental emergency response. Strong understanding of hazardous material handling and safety protocols. Ability to work flexibly and respond to calls outside of standard work hours. Excellent communications skills for coordination across teams and reporting purposes. Capable in the use of technology for documentation and reporting. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazardous materials endorsement. OSHA HAZWOPER certification (40-hour) is preferred. Any state-specific environmental operation certifications considered an advantage.
