What You Can Expect As an auto mechanic you will maintain all company vehicles by inspecting and testing, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, wheel balancing, replacing filters and brakes. In addition, you will: Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs Keep shop equipment operating; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Manage inventorying stock and placing orders Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. To Be Successful High School Diploma or GED 2-3 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem -solving and repair/maintenance experience on both gas and diesel vehicles Valid Drivers License Maintancance/repair on insulation machines (in-house training provided) Some material handling in our warehouse Position requires a drug test and motor vehicle report to be completed, contingent upon employment. For Your Safety The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50lbs assisted or unassisted.
