The Opportunity:
CCI is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Lisle, IL. In this role, you will conduct security vulnerability assessments to safeguard our systems and data, focusing on verification and validation processes.
Your responsibilities will include vulnerability scanning, static source code analysis, reverse engineering, penetration testing, and traffic analysis. You will perform security assessments, review STIGs, and evaluate compliance, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
This position involves working with diverse systems, configuring testing environments, and collaborating with development and security teams to analyze findings, prepare reports, and develop remediation strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science or cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in programming, operating systems, and network infrastructure. If you are passionate about cybersecurity and detail-oriented, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments of security controls and prepare Security Assessment Reports (SAR).
  
• Review system compliance with security standards such as STIGs.
  
• Perform host and network security control assessments, determine residual risks, and support system authorization processes.
  
• Analyze security findings and compile reports with recommendations for remediation.
  
• Utilize modern scanning tools and manual testing techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
  
• Review source code for security issues and coordinate with development teams for fixes.
  
• Set up and maintain laboratory environments and network infrastructure for assessments.
  
  Qualifications:
  Required:
  

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
  
• Knowledge of security disciplines and IA principles.
  
• Experience with security system design and vulnerabilities.
  
• Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, C#, Python.
  
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and network equipment.
  
  Desired:

  • Knowledge of NIST security controls.
    
  • Experience with penetration testing and security tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus.
    
  • Red/Blue team assessment experience.
    
    Security clearance is not initially required but may be needed during employment.

      Pay Range:
      Estimated between $53,100 and $106,300 USD, depending on various factors including experience, location, and qualifications.
