Position Description: Advancement Director - The Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County is a 501c3 -not-for-profit economic organization serving the community with the cities, towns, chambers of commerce, investor partners, and businesses of Elkhart County, Indiana. Our primary objectives are the retention and expansion of local businesses, attraction of new businesses to Elkhart County, and local entrepreneurial development. - More information about the EDC of Elkhart County is available at -Job Profile: - The EDC of Elkhart County is seeking a highly professional and service-oriented individual to assist with fundraising for the organization. - -The position of Advancement Director reports directly to the President and CEO of the EDC of Elkhart County and should expect to spend much of their time on the road. - - -They must be willing to make cold calls to schedule meetings to increase the EDC's investor base as well as -foster -relationships with current investors. - - - Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities - Individual must be able to -work independently as well as -work as a team and communicate well with all personality types. - - - Meet with existing donors to communicate EDC programs and solicitate continued commitment. - - - Research, identify, and cultivate potential donors. - Prepare investor packets, schedule appointments with potential investors, and send -reminder for payments, when necessary. - - - Create unique investment letters and thank you notes for each quarter. - - Send personal thank you notes for investments -received. - Complete and log pledge form information into CRM System. - Maintain CRM System -with updates on phone calls, meetings, tasks, and opportunities. - Work closely with BR&E Manager and Training Class Manager to make connections with -a variety of -companies. - - Write proposals, letters of intent, and grant requests. - Respond to customer/investor inquiries within 24 hours of request. - Work with other EDC staff members on event planning and campaign needs. - - Candidate Profile - Minimum of -4 year -accredited college business degree required. - - - Sales experience and previous experience working with business and industry desirable. - Proficient knowledge with current technology, including but not limited to: Cell phones, Salesforce CRM System, Office 365 Suite, OneDrive, and Google Suites is preferred. - - - Ability to travel around the county to speak personally with investors and potential investors. - - - Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude and willingness to work closely with multiple stakeholders in a team environment. - Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for substantial contact with a diverse group of stakeholders. - - - Ability to maintain client, business, and organization confidentiality under all circumstances. - - - Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently. - An understanding of business and industry in Elkhart County is preferred. - - - - Compensation and Benefits - Salary commensurate with experience. -Benefits include medical, retirement, paid holidays, and vacation days. - - Email cover letter, resume, and reference as attachments to the EDC of Elkhart County at -. -Mail to: 300 NIBCO Parkway, Suite 201, Elkhart, IN -46516. - - -
