Job Description:

Manufacturing organization with a great culture has an opportunity available for an Information Technology Manager. -This is a hands-on position overseeing the Information Technology function. -The responsibilities for the Information Technology Manager position are as follows:

• Supervise, coordinate, and manage day-to-day operations of all aspects of the IT department.
• Collaborate with senior management on planning, development, and implementation of Information Technology initiatives.
• Lead and oversee a small IT staff
• Oversee ERP system operation, efficiency and module upgrades.
• Some hands-on involvement in making functional adjustments and fine tuning (light programming) for the JD Edwards ERP system.
• Responsible for Applications Support, Network/Technical Support, and Information Security.
• Some periodic hands-on involvement in hardware troubleshooting/implementation.
• Communicate regularly with managers and other internal departments. -
• Interface with and manage external systems consultants and contractors when required. -The requirements for the Information Technology Manager position are as follows:
  • A minimum of 10 years of IT related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Some experience at the manager level or leading team projects is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with senior management on development and implementation of IT related initiatives.
  • Direct experience with JD Edwards ERP systems is required; strongly prefer some level of hands-on involvement in light programming changes and technical adjustments in JDE.
  • Knowledgeable in Information Security strategies and tactics.
  • Desire to be involved periodically in hands-on implementation and troubleshooting of hardware and computer equipment.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related area is required. -
