Job Description:
Summary
The Project Manager, reporting to the Director, Project Management
Office (PMO), leads multidisciplinary project teams, providing
direction, drive, and coordination of projects. Works with internal
and external resources to support strategic business objectives by
developing project scope of work documents, project plans,
timelines, and project budgets.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversees all aspects of project management, including
scheduling, budgeting, setting deadlines, assigning
responsibilities, monitoring, and summarizing project status.
- Works with business units to understand and document project
objectives, scope, requirements, milestone, deliverables, schedule,
and cost estimates.
- Monitors and controls each project by tracking, reviewing, and
communicating progress to project stakeholders, sponsors, and team
members using such tools as status reports, risk registers, issues
logs, decision logs, and action item trackers.
- Prepares and leads project team meetings including creation and
distribution of meeting agendas, and meeting notes.
- Develops and applies change management strategies and
communication plans to ensure stakeholders and team members are
informed, bought-in, and support expected project outcomes.
- Provides regular, professional, and appropriate communications
to project team members, department heads, and the senior
leadership team.
- Proactively identifies, tracks, and resolves issues, risks, and
dependencies. Communicates risks and issues to the project team and
senior leadership. Identifies and implements issue resolutions.
Leads risk management identification and mitigation plans.
- Effectively utilizes project management systems to track and
communicate progress.
- Produces high quality deliverables to meet the approved
schedule baseline.
- Effectively motivates and persuades others to meet project
milestones.
- Participates in continual process improvement efforts within
the PMO, division, or enterprise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business
Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 8+ years (minimum) experience in a manufacturing environment
required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
MS Project)
- Ability to travel up to 25%
