The Council on Aging (COA) is the oldest non-profit organization in the country dedicated to exclusively serving the needs of the senior community. Through the utilization of our Transportation, In-Home, and Life Enrichment support services, we focus on caring for mind, body, and spirit. Our services are designed to enhance the dignity and independent lifestyles of those transitioning through the aging process.

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to add a leader to our team who will support our caregivers, strengthen our training programs, and help us ensure that we continue to delight our clients.

Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver quality, professional homemaking, attendant, and respite care to clients through proper training of caregivers and knowledge of service requirements and regulations. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform professionally following the corporate policy.
• Utilize master scheduling and client management software (Sandata)
• Understand and operate following the corporate employee handbook
• Develop a collaborative environment with team co-workers
• Maintain required recordkeeping/documentation of services rendered
• Timely correspondence/response with clients
• Hiring and oversight of the caregiving staff, including performance evaluations, field monitoring, and disciplinary requirements following the COA policy
• Develop and implement training programs for caregiving staff per the COA In-Home Services Procedures and Policy Manual, Personal Services Agency licensing regulations, Medicaid regulations, and all contracted agency policies
• Train caregiving staff following the above manuals and procedures
• Understanding and implementation of service deliverables in accordance with COA design, including those required under contracted agreements, funding sources, and Medicaid
• Conduct routine surveys of client satisfaction
• Development of new clientele, including completion of signed Intake Forms
• Maintain confidentiality of corporate and client information
• Work with management on the profitable delivery of services
• Other duties as assigned by CFO or CEO
  
  Qualifications
  
  • High School Diploma, Associate Degree preferred
  • Home Healthcare Aide Certification a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn the software
  • At least 2 years of Supervisory or industry experience
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance

    Possess and maintain good physical and mental health including the ability to sit for long periods and to bend and flex with legs, arms, hands, and finger movements.
    
    Compensation
    
    $18.00/per hour
