Reports to a Director for
administrative supervision and the Practice Site Physician or
designee for clinical supervision. Is responsible for the
coordination and delivery of primary care, as specified by the
appropriate certifying agency, to BMG patients at designated work
sites. Provides clinical and administrative assistance to BMG
programs, etc. Works collaboratively in the education of nursing
students, medical residents, and other pre-professionals.MISSION,

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities
as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful
completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. A valid and current
RN license in the state of Indiana is required. The successful
completion of a nurse practitioner program with applicable national
certification is required. Two years of clinical nursing experience
in practice area and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner
six month internship for new graduates or comparable experience is
required. Master's of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Attainment of prescriptive authority or successful completion of
applicable course work and pass state board exam to obtain
prescriptive authority within six months of hire date. Bilingual
speaking and/or writing skills are a plus.Knowledge & Skills
- Requires a thorough knowledge of practice standards and
policies and procedures of BMG and the appropriate professional
- Requires a high level of analytical skills necessary to assess
the patient and participate in follow-up care planning.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to effectively
interact with patient(s), family of patient(s), physicians, other
professionals and paraprofessionals.
- Demonstrates high level of communication skills, both oral and
written, necessary for effective communication with patient/family,
physicians, and referral sources.Working Conditions
- Works in a clinic environment requiring physical exertion,
frequent changes in job demands, certain undesirable patient care
activities, and exposure to biohazards.
- Consequence of errors in performance may result in patient
injury or death.Physical Demands
Requires the physical ability and
stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push
carts/wheelchairs, lift at least 50 pounds, to position/lift
patients of various sizes and weights, visual and manual dexterity,
provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the
