Responsible for the general maintenance of equipment, room and supplies.What You'll Do

• Maintains the area, equipment and level of supplies.
• Performs a variety of assisting and servicing activities, both with the patients and to help maintain the area.
• Provides and gives cooperative and courteous service to patients, staff,visitors and others as part of the organization's commitment to quality services.
• Works effectively as part of the healthcare team to facilitate the unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
• Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, center/service safety and specific job-related hazards.
• Free from the occurrence of risk or danger or loss. Seeks to prevent injury to themselves and others.
• Follows the center exposure control plans for blood borne and airborne pathogens.
• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the patient as defined in the scope of service, to assure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
• Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of acenter/unit team to facilitate the center and unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
• Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsRequired:
  • High school diploma or equivalent,
  • Successful completion of state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements
  • Certification as Nursing Assistant or eligible to obtain certification within four months of employment
  • BLS certificationPreferred
    • Specialty certification in related department
