Job Description:
Overview: Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible
for overseeing the treatment of residents with all types of wounds
and ulcers and serve as an expert at the community for any skin
integrity issues. You may also administer treatments including but
not limited to sharp debridement. Essential Functions, Key Duties,
& Responsibilities Oversee and assess all residents with wounds and
pressure ulcers. Assess and consult for all residents with skin
integrity issues as needed. Collaborate with physicians to develop
a plan of treatment. Oversee and complete the administration of
wound care treatment to the residents. Assess the effectiveness of
treatments, documenting progress and changes in the condition of
the residents’ skin. Communicate results and concerns to the
physician, Director of Nursing, and any other associates as needed.
Establish wound care protocol at the community and identify
high-risk residents to promote optimal skin integrity outcomes.
Identify and provide associate educational needs pertaining to
wound care. Prepare job-related reports to present to the
leadership of the department. Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates. Position
Requirements Education : Associate’s degree or higher in a
clinical/nursing area of study required Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license
required Experience : 1 years of experience in a clinical/nursing
setting within the geriatric industry Skills & Abilities:
Outstanding customer services and bedside manner Travel : N/A
