Job Description:
Travel PCU RN is needed for 13 weeks to start ASAP in a facility
in Indiana. Shifts consist 12 hours 7-7:30. This is a busy cardiac
step-down unit. Experience with post-cardiothoracic surgery
patients, cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers, MI required.47 beds,
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 for days and 1:4-5 for nights. 1 year
of experience is required. Types of Patients: Cardiac, Respiratory,
Neurological, Abdominal, Primary diagnosis is Cardiac, Common
Secondary Diagnoses (Renal, Diabetes, COPD, Pneumonia, CVA/TIA,
General surgical patients w/cardiac complications), Other (Renal,
Diabetics, Arterial TPA specials patients). Equipment used: Cardiac
Telemetry, PCA and Epidural Pain Managerment, Data Dock Blook
Glucose Machines, Comuterized dispensing and charging of Narcotics
(Suremed), Computerized dispensing and charging of supplies
(Omnicell). BLS and ACLS are required. EKG certification required.
