required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 2 years of
experience in a Cath Lab - Proficiency in required skills
Description: Position available for a Cath Lab RN. Start date is
ASAP. Shift options are either 4x10s or 5x8s, starting at 6 AM or 7
AM. Call requirements include every third weekend and 1-2 days
during the week for late or call shifts. Weekend requirement
includes call. Holiday requirement also includes call. Floating may
occur if proficient in Interventional Radiology. Travelers are
permitted to call off up to twice per assignment. If a third
call-off occurs, the unit manager will determine the next steps
regarding the contract. First-time travelers are accepted. Pending
licenses are accepted as long as they are active by the start date.
Guaranteed hours are 40 per week. Facility type is Short Term Acute
Care with Magnet designation. Total staffed beds are 244. Scrubs
will be provided. Charting systems used include Merge/Hemo and
Cerner. Patient care details include adults and geriatrics. The
daily census is approximately 14 visits with 4 rooms available.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy,
respiratory services, and more. Special procedures required
include: - Diagnostic left heart catheterization - Left and right
catheterization with coronary angiography - Percutaneous Coronary
Angioplasty and intervention - Structural heart procedures such as
ASD and PFO closures - Peripheral artery angioplasty/stenting -
Electrophysiology studies and ablations - Pacemaker insertions and
AICD installations Required skills include angioplasty, arrhythmia
induction, cardiac mapping, and more. Charting experience in Cerner
is required. Candidates must be willing to float within the
facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Travelers must complete
up to 8 hours of modules prior to the start of the assignment.
Candidates should understand that conduct issues may result in
immediate contract termination.
