Provide expert perioperative nursing care in an operating room setting specializing in ophthalmology and general surgery using the DaVinci robotic system. This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with a solid background in surgical nursing and a minimum of two years of experience. The role demands proficiency in Epic electronic medical records and a proven track record with at least one travel contract. Location: This position is based in Glenview, IL, located approximately 28 miles from Chicago. Schedule: Monday through Friday, four consecutive 10.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM 5:30 PM) Weekend on-call rotation to support surgical cases as needed On-call availability requires being within 30 minutes of the hospital Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing ophthalmological and robotic-assisted general surgeries Utilize the DaVinci robot during surgical procedures efficiently and safely Document patient care and surgical details accurately using Epic EMR system Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Participate in on-call rotation to provide extended coverage Qualifications: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience, including expertise in ophthalmology and DaVinci robot-assisted surgeries Experience with Epic electronic health record system Completion of at least one previous travel nursing contract BLS certification required Ability to complete required pre-employment screenings including CBC, drug screen, and QuantiFERON Gold within 90 days This opportunity offers a dynamic surgical environment with a strong collaborative team and a chance to enhance your skills in advanced robotic surgery.
