Responsibilities Clinical Supervision: Provide weekly individual
and/or group supervision to staff clinicians and primary counselors
(interns), focusing on case conceptualization, treatment planning,
and therapeutic interventions. American Society of Addiction
Medicine (ASAM) Oversight: Ensure all assessments, level-of-care
recommendations, and continued service reviews strictly adhere to
the ASAM 4th Edition Criteria. Diagnostic Criteria: Possess a
thorough understanding of co-occurring disorders and the ability to
make the distinction of primary mental health disorders and
substance use disorders. Program Management: Oversee the daily
operations of Level 1 Outpatient (OP) and Level 2 Intensive
Outpatient Programs (IOP). Compliance: Maintain clinical
documentation standards in accordance with Illinois Administrative
Code Title 77, Part 2060. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular chart
audits and performance evaluations to ensure departmental KPIs and
clinical outcomes are met. Group Facilitation: Experience in
facilitating didactic and psycho-educational groups as needed.
Other duties may be assigned relative to role and scope of work .
Required Qualifications: Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work,
Mental Health Counseling or an applicable field of study from a
college or university program accredited by the U.S. Department of
Education. Licensure: Must hold a valid, unrestricted Illinois
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselor (LCPC) license. Certified Alcohol and Drug
Counselor (CADC) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of
clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment, with at
least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Clinical
Expertise: Mastery of the ASAM 4th Edition criteria and
understanding of the DSM 5-TR as it relates to substance use and
co-occurring disorders. Competencies: (Minimum Skills, Knowledge
and Experience) Effective communication skills both oral and
written The ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools; Teams, Word,
Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. The ability to maintain and
accurately document occurrences. Adhere to deadlines and prioritize
assigned work, projects. Understand the Social Determinants of
Health as framework relative to client population needs. Awareness
and utilization of Motivational Interviewing. Understand and
practice a client centered approach. Understand and practice
cultural awareness and humility.
