Ascension is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist with a specialization in cardiovascular services to join our innovative healthcare team. You will be integral in supporting surgical teams and delivering optimal patient outcomes in cardiovascular procedures. Prepare and maintain the sterile field during cardiovascular procedures. Assist in the setup of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring functionality and sterile conditions. Anticipate surgeons' needs and hand instruments and medical supplies to them during operations. Ensure all pieces of equipment are properly disinfected and assembled before a procedure. Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and team needs. Support patient safety and care by adhering to rigorous sterilization techniques. Assist with the collection and labeling of specimens taken during surgical procedures for laboratory analysis. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and methods, particularly in cardiovascular surgery. Proficient in the use of surgical instruments and equipment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment. Strong adherence to health and safety guidelines. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required. Additional certification for cardiovascular procedures (CV CST) is highly preferred.
