This position requires travel to various Ascension hospitals and clinics, offering a unique opportunity to experience diverse environments while maintaining the highest standards of healthcare. Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures Ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety Prepare sterile surgical instruments and equipment with adherence to stringent protocols Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgeries Maintain aseptic techniques throughout surgery Anticipate the needs of the surgeon to ensure smooth workflow Handle and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory Proficiency in sterile and aseptic techniques Knowledge of surgical instruments and supplies needed for specific surgical procedures Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure Good physical stamina and manual dexterity Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to integrate and apply critical thinking skills to patient care Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
