Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a Transportation Assistant to join their team. As a Transportation Assistant, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting freight management and shipping operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Transportation Assistant. Location: Woodridge, IL Pay Range: Shift: What's the Job? Pick and pull hardware and incomplete production orders Palletize, wrap, and band freight for shipment Operate forklift to load and unload freight safely Quote all freight orders and provide weights and dimensions Update Excel and Google Sheets with accurate real-time information What's Needed? Ability to lift 50-75 lbs safely Ability to drive a forklift Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to read in English and perform simple math calculations Familiarity with freight terminology, TMS, and ERP systems is a plus What's in it for me?
