Summary

The heightened demand for our new Velocity R2 walk-in van has led to a strong 42.3% increase in sales within our Fleet Vehicles and Services segment in 2021. And a result, our Utilimaster division is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to drive invoice for payment processing activity at our facility in Bristol, IN. You will be joining a highly engaged team four AP/AR specialists who work on a flex schedule consisting of 4 10-hour days.

As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will mainly be accountable for processing incoming invoices for payment through weekly check runs and providing ad hoc support to our Finance department. Your success in this role will be evaluated by your ability to process large quantities of invoices without issues and for ensuring that all bills are paid in a timely manner.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborating with other departments to process invoices for payment
• Ensuring that the accounts payable invoicing process is consistent and accurate
• Performing check runs and maintaining accounts payable and vendor files
• Preparing and monitoring accounts payable aging reports and customer invoices
• Responding to requests for information from customers in a courteous and timely manner
• Calculating the average accounts payable and Applying payments to outstanding invoices
• Participating in the resolution of payable charges that are in dispute
• Driving the accounts receivable process through placing follow up calls and emails
• Maintaining accounts payable vendor files and reconciling receipts to invoices
• Assisting in the monthly closing and balancing process
• Performing administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and mailing
• Filing accounts payable supporting documentation and company banking documentation
• Utilizing accounting and auditing software to track accounts payable
  Qualifications
  
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  • Robust ability to calculate accounts payable figures and amounts
  • Ability to perform a wide range of clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
  • Awareness of demonstrating professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Versatility and a reputation of being attentive to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AS400
  • A history of being able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
