About the Company and Opportunity:

Overview of the Controller role:
- Prepare journal entries and financial reports at month-end close
- Complete bank and financial statement reconciliations at month-end close
- Prepare accounts payable for weekly check runs
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and guide accounting staff
- Assist with audit
  
  Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
  - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  - Minimum five years of accounting experience, non-profit background preferred
  - Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  - Working knowledge of a major ERP system
  - Thorough knowledge of the general ledger and of GAAP
  - Highly effective communication skills; strong attention to detail
