are recruiting for a Special Events and Resource Development
Associate. This individual will support the organization by
providing all aspects of fund-raising efforts.

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for generating financial resources by way of
planning and developing special events by building relationships
with community members and donors. Coordinate activities of board
members, volunteers, and community groups to generate funding
through targeted appeals to donors and community members.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalency of education and three (3)
or more years' experience in planning and implementing special
events, financial planning or, in fundraising campaigning and
special events activities.
- Demonstrated competence and experience in fundraising.
- High energy, enthusiastic, self-starter who is able to work
alone as well as in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Pre-employment drug screening, reference checks, pre-employment
and annual criminal background check (as required by BGCA policy)
and driver's record checks.
JOB DESCRIPTION-- Plan, execute, and close fundraising events.-- Be
present, lead, and provide direction at all corresponding event and
committee meetings.-- Negotiate and finalize event locations,
dates, and pricing.-- Manage all aspects of event program design,
execution, and recruiting and supervision of event support staff,
event committee, speakers, attendees, guest, and volunteers.--
Oversee marketing and program materials (programs, videos,
brochures, Power Points, etc.).-- Manage all post-event financials
(ie: accounts receivable, finalizing expenses, etc.).-- Oversee and
complete the timely execution of stewardship and provide a
researched and developed cultivation plan for financial support. --
Simultaneously manage multiple events and fund-raising campaigns.--
Proficient in data base, donor, and event management software.
