Job Description:
Overview:
A Field Safety Technician will visit construction job sites and
complete observation checklists, will work with the Safety Manager
to ensure adherence to laws and regulations governing the health
and safety of employees. This position requires a working knowledge
of OSHA and DOT regulations. Previous CATV/FIBER/OSP Construction
experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Ability to work safely, with or without supervision
Ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with
a high degree of accuracy and completeness
Ability to organize work load to determine priority of duties
Ability to communicate with Company personnel, vendors, and
contractors to ensure tasks are completed
Ability to communicate ideas, policies, and procedures in a
classroom setting
Ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in
writing
Completion of high-level tasks in support of an assigned
department/project
Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an
assigned department/project
Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers
to assist assigned department/project
Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned
department/project
Ability to operate vehicle following all safety and traffic
regulations including daily maintenance of vehicle
Additional Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2 years of related work experience
Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs,
Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language
skills both oral and written
Authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background,
and motor vehicle record check.
Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking
Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the
year
A good driving record is required
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and/or environments is
necessary
Previous construction experience, preferably in the
telecommunications industry
Must be willing to train
