Job Description:
Overall Responsibilities:A quality technician's job is to
-ensure products meet quality standards by inspecting, testing, and
analyzing them for defects. -They also create and improve
procedures to find and fix flaws.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect products: -Examine materials, components, and products
for flaws and deviations from specifications. -
- Test products: -Run tests to ensure products meet quality
standards. -
- Create new procedures: -Develop new techniques and procedures
for inspecting and testing products. -
- Recommend improvements: -Suggest changes to production or
assembly processes. -
- Monitor operations: -Ensure operations meet production
standards. -
- Measure products: -Use calipers, gauges, or micrometers to
measure products. -
- Use inspection equipment: -Operate electronic inspection
equipment and software. -
- Provide feedback: -Identify errors and provide feedback to
ensure products meet quality standards. -
- Other duties as assigned or needed. -Characteristics and
skills:
- Solid understanding of lean material flow and the production
processes.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and critical thinking
skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Initiative-taking with winning and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally
with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Educational and other requirements:
- 5-7 years of progressive manufacturing experience in Quality
preferred.
- Ability to learn new concepts and effectively pass this
knowledge on to others.
- Very sharp, innovative, and accustomed to "figuring it
out."
- Mature judgment and decision-making ability.
- Must have fluent computer skills in Microsoft Office and
related software packages.
- Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate
others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at
all levels of the organization.
- Work requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Proven ability to effectively interact with cross-functional
teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong Organization and Multi-tasker.
- Embraces change and learns on-the-go without supervision.
- Works well individually and in a team environment.
