FTE: Full time Reports to: General Manager Location: 3750 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo MI 49008 Salary & benefits package approximately $40,000-$50,000 The 2nd Impressions manager is someone who has a high level of personal commitment to Christian Education and the mission of Kalamazoo Christian Schools; someone who is willing to put their whole heart into the job, is truly interested in making our store successful and has a deep sense of the number of families who are counting on this success. Essential Job Functions Recruit, train and retain a volunteer workforce Ties to our school system are important to this job, the ability to recruit a dedicated, long-term workforce requires knowing a network of contacts. Work with the General Manager to schedule volunteers to maintain adequate coverage, provide maximum security, safety and service. Communicate updates to the workforce on a regular basis. Maintain and update the Volunteer Database, emergency cards and email list. Utilize Community Service people to keep the donations moving and further our impact on our Kalamazoo Community. Work with the Parent Partners, giving our Comet nation the opportunity to be the face of our school in our Kalamazoo Community. Coordinate Backroom Activities Recruit, train and schedule for all departments, making sure that the volunteers have everything that they need. Keep the donations moving from the backdoor to the floor, using good stewardship of our resources and filling in the gaps as needed. Inventory control- see that the seasonal and holiday merchandise is priced and stored to sell when the profitability would be the highest. Keep the area neat, organized and safe for all. Treat all volunteers with courtesy and respect. Maintain a positive attitude and encourage all volunteers Office Manager Responsibilities Oversee daily deposits, making sure there is enough change, receipts are turned in, $ on the gas card, etc. Work with the CFO, make the data entries and pay bills Order office supplies, trash bags and paper products. Make name tags, order bed frames and mattresses. Oversee store maintenance and cleaning procedures. Customer Service Provide customers with a pleasant shopping experience. Adhere to policies to maintain consistent and reliable expectations. Education and Experience 2-4 year college degree in Business, Management and/or Marketing preferred Preferred experience in Retail Management Experience working with a board, committees or non-profit organizations a plus Special conditions include: flexible schedule to accommodate working some evenings and weekends Essential Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 35 pounds repeatedly, reach, bend, twist; extended periods spent standing. Other Should be available Monday -Friday 9:00 -7:00 and 1-2 Saturdays per month from 9:00-4:00. Other duties as determined by the General Manager.
