Senior Director, Client Management - Retail

Job Description:

The Senior Director, Client Management will be responsible for cultivating strong client partnerships within the retail vertical, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional client experiences across Epsilons data, tech, and media offerings. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional business acumen, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that exceed client expectations in the retail industry. Critically, this role operates within a rigorous enterprise-level sales organization, and reports to the Senior Vice President, Client Lead. As a Senior Director, Client Management, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong relationships with retail clients, understanding their specific business objectives, challenges, and opportunities. You will orchestrate the efforts of Client Developments, Sales Strategists, Solution Architects, Client Supporting Functions, and Account Management Teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive solutions are developed and delivered. This includes negotiating contracts and pricing and developing and managing client success plans, contributing to Epsilons overall success within the retail vertical. What You’ll Achieve • Forge strategic partnerships with retail clients that result in significant revenue growth across Epsilon data, tech, and media. • Build long-term partnerships with key decision-makers across retail client organizations. • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with clients business objectives and growth targets. • Drive measurable results: YOY growth, client retention, and account expansion. • Develop customized solutions that demonstrably solve retail client challenges and drive measurable results. • Drive cross-functional collaboration to develop and deliver solutions that leverage data, technology, and media to achieve company goals within the retail sector. • Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented team that consistently delivers exceptional client service to retail clients. • Mentor and collaborate with Client Associates, contributing to their professional growth and development within the retail industry. • Lead team performance through capability development, knowledge sharing, and innovation initiatives. • Maintain pipeline coverage while achieving forecast accuracy. • Champion and embody the companys vision and values in all interactions and initiatives related to retail clients. Who You Are • What You’ll Bring With You: o 10 years of proven success in enterprise sales within the retail industry, including a strong understanding of the retail marketing landscape (strategy, analytics, media performance, forecasting, and multi-product solutions). o Demonstrated ability to develop new client relationships, understand client needs, and drive revenue growth by building a robust sales pipeline and exceeding targets. o Expertise in Tech or Media sales, translating complex technical solutions into business value and demonstrating ROI. o Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills, including developing business cases and financial models. o Excellent communication and presentation skills, including presenting effectively to C-level executives. o Proven ability to drive revenue growth, maintain high client satisfaction (85%), and develop strategic partnerships. o Track record of leading cross-functional teams, managing complex enterprise relationships, developing team capabilities, and fostering innovation. o Strong understanding of data analytics, platform capabilities, performance optimization, ROI measurement, and campaign effectiveness analysis. o Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite). o Bachelors degree (advanced degree a plus). • Why You Might Stand Out From Other Talent: o Deep expertise within a specific retail vertical with quantifiable results demonstrating success in that niche. o Demonstrated thought leadership in the tech/media space relevant to retail. o Ability to translate complex data insights into compelling narratives that drive strategic decisions. o History of building long-term, strategic partnerships with key retail clients, acting as a trusted advisor. o Demonstrated ability to identify and solve critical business challenges for retail clients through innovative solutions, with quantifiable impact on their bottom line o Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different departments within retail organizations. o Proven ability to influence C-level decisions, including negotiating major deals and providing strategic insights. o Proven track record of rapidly understanding retail client landscapes and competitively addressing their needs. o Experience successfully negotiating win-win outcomes with key decision-makers and influencers at retail companies. o History of contributing to roadmaps for client satisfaction, growth, and trust.
