Job Description:

An international manufacturer of plastic injection molding equipment specialized for the automotive industry is seeking an experienced EDM Machinist to join their facility in the Northwestern Dayton, OH area. The ideal candidate has proven experience with EDM operation and a strong attention to detail. This is a full-time, direct hire position that offers a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package. EDM Machinist Responsibilities: Operate EDM machinery on the production floor Set up and switch jobs as required Verify all parts conform to quality standards Ensure tooling adheres to customer specifications Perform tasks efficiently and keep track of materials in the area Perform minor troubleshooting of machine equipment as needed Maintain a clean working environment Other duties as assigned EDM Machinist Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience operating wire EDM equipment High school diploma or GED Ability to read and interpret simple part diagrams Experience with milling, drilling, or turning machinery a plus Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Strong communication skills in written and spoken English Strong time management and multitasking skills While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
