Device & Selenium Tester BC forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Device & Selenium Tester opportunity in Chicago, IL! Position Title: Device & Selenium Tester Location: Chicago, IL Anticipated Start Date: 06/24 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration : 6 months contract Renewable Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [ONSITE] Pay Range: $35 - $37/hr Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in device testing and Selenium automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of applications across multiple device types (mobile, tablet, web-enabled devices) while contributing to the automation framework and execution of test cases using Selenium. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for device-based applications (mobile, tablet, smart devices). Conduct manual and automated testing across different platforms, operating systems, and screen resolutions. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java, Python, or similar languages). Validate device interoperability, responsiveness, performance, and UI consistency. Perform regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing for new and existing features. Identify, document, and track bugs; collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating test scripts into automated workflows. Work with cross-functional teams (development, product, UX) to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability. Maintain documentation related to test plans, test execution, and quality metrics. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience in QA or software testing, with at least 2 years in device testing. Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. Proficient in test scripting using Java, Python, or JavaScript. Familiarity with mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs) is a plus. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). Working knowledge of REST API testing (using Postman, REST Assured, etc.) is an advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
